VISITING THE CAMPING DES MENHIRS

For obvious safety reasons (the swimming pool, possible evacuation of the campsite due to a weather warning) or health reasons (possible hospitalisation during the stay) children will not be admitted unless accompanied by their legal guardians. Furthermore, according to decree no. 2002-883 of the 3rd March 2002 relating to the protection of children during school holidays and leisure trips, our campsite is not authorised to provide group or individual holidays outside of the family home for minors under 18 who are not accompanied by their legal guardians.

Availability

Availability is accessible online in real time (www.lesmenhirs.com)
2 options are available:

  • Booking à la carte during off-peak season (minimum 2 nights): to freely reserve any stay (weekends, short breaks).
  • Per week bookings in peak season (minimum 7 nights): to book a stay from Wednesday to Wednesday or Saturday to Saturday.

In the off-peak season, the customer has the option to leave on Sunday between 5pm and 7pm (instead of 10am) (outside of 07/07 to 01/09/2018) for stays of a minimum of two nights if this option was specified when booking.
To take advantage of this free option, the customer must notify is of this when making a booking (by telephone or when making their reservation by means of a code available on the website www.lesmenhirs.com). Otherwise, this will not be possible and they will instead have to leave their accommodation on Sunday before 10am.

Prices

The prices listed on the website www.lesmenhirs.com are valid for the current season; they are in euros and include VAT.
They include:

  • Rental of the mobile home booked (regardless of the number of people in the accommodation). Please note, the number of people must never exceed the maximum capacity for the mobile home; children less than 3 years old included.
  • The supply of covers and pillows.
  • Consumption of water, heating and electricity.
  • A space for one vehicle per accommodation.
  • Access to all services, entertainment and free camping facilities.

It does not include:

  • Booking fees.Cancellation insurance.
  • Cleaning of the accommodation at the end of the stay.
  • Tourist taxes or household waste taxes that may need to be paid upon arrival.
  • A deposit of 170 euros minimum.
  • Additional options such as purchase of a set of sheets, rental of a baby kit, a safe, etc.
  • Transport to the camp site.
  • Personal expenses (food, leisure, etc.)

Camping pitches

Camping des Menhirs offers rentals of mobile homes and chalets.
We do not offer rental of pitches for tents or caravans.

Bookings for several mobile homes

If you want to book several mobile homes for the same dates, you will need to make separate bookings either online or by telephone.
Booking fees are payable for each reservation made.

MAKING YOUR BOOKING

Booking methods

Book your stay quickly and easily on the web. Our website www.lesmenhirs.com is the easiest and fastest way to choose your stay by safely looking at availability in real time. You can also book by phone on 02 97 52 94 67 (price of a local call depending on the operator).

1. Online reservations

Letters take you through the various stages of the reservation.
If you already have a customer account (username + password), you will be asked for this during your reservation.
It will allow you to see the different stages of your booking, your payments, and your documents (booking form, booking voucher, invoice 11 days before the beginning of the stay and certificate once your stay has been completed).
If this is not the case, the site will prompt you to create one.
Once you have booked your stay, you will receive a confirmation email (booking form, payment schedule or booking voucher in the event you have already paid).
A booking number (folder) will be indicated on the documents. You will be asked for this any time you get in touch with Camping des Menhirs by phone or email.

2. Reservations by phone

Between September and March: from Monday to Friday from 9am to 12pm and 2pm to 6pm.
April to June: everyday from 9am to 12pm and from 2pm to 7pm.
In July and August: Daily from 9am to 7pm.
Upon receipt of the balance of your booking, you will receive your booking voucher by email (automatically). If you don’t have an email address, it will be sent by mail.
You must present this booking voucher at the Camping des Menhirs reception on the day of arrival (between 3pm and 7pm): All the occupants of the mobile home must be indicated, including children less than 3 years of age.
Information required to make a reservation
– Holiday dates:
– Number of adults and number of children (babies under 3 years count as children)
– Type of mobile home
– Name, date of birth of the person that you want to appear first on the booking form
– Names and dates of birth of the other people who will be staying in the mobile home
– Postal address and email (in order to receive the documents concerning your stay by email)
– Mobile and home telephone number
– Your credit card number if you choose this method of payment.

Payment methods

by credit card (credit card, Visa, Mastercard, Eurocard)

It’s easy, fast and 100% secure.
You don’t need to return your booking form and you will receive discounted booking fees (excluding non-direct debit).
Collection of the amount from your account will take place the next day.
Important: When you pay by credit card, you will be transferred to the secure site of our payment partner via its secure platform.
The server is encrypted and all information transmitted is encrypted to ensure the confidentiality of your data.
In the event that you are paying in instalments, if the expiration date of your credit card is before the balance due date, you must contact again us when you receive your new card to provide us with its new number, security code and expiration date (otherwise the payment will not be honoured and the booking will be cancelled).

Please note, this payment method is not possible if you are making a booking within 15 days of arrival (booking only by credit card).

Payments in several instalments

You can choose to pay in 3 or 4 instalments through an agency specialising in deferred payment, which is a partner of Camping des Menhirs. This payment method is available depending on specific conditions related to the amount of the stay and the number of days between the date on which you book and the date of the beginning of your stay. This option is free and does not entail any additional costs. Rates are directly managed by the partner organisation according to the dates and the terms indicated in the finance contract. Camping des Menhirs is not a party to this finance contract and cannot guarantee good performance.

Booking fees

These are mandatory for any booking.
Costs reduced to €10 if paying:
• by credit card: in one instalment or by direct debit in several instalments
You will provide your credit card number once and you will be charged on the dates indicated. Collection of the amount from your account will take place the next day.
Standard cost of €25 if paying:
• by credit card: in several instalments without direct debit.
• by cheque and/or ANCV holiday vouchers: in one or several instalments.
• by bank transfer: in one or several instalments (residents within France only).
Note: these fees are due only once throughout the season. You can make several reservations throughout the season without having to pay again.

One-off payment

After settling the total amount of your stay (rental, fees, optional cancellation insurance) online, by telephone or by mail, you will receive your booking voucher by email or through the post (at your request). This document must be presented to our reception team on the day of your arrival at the campsite.
Payments in several instalments
You have the option of paying in several instalments (up to 4 payments) for bookings made more than one month from the date of the beginning of stay.
You can pay by credit card, cheque or holiday vouchers:
• If you book more than 3 months before the beginning of the stay, you pay:
– At the time of the booking: 25% of the total rental cost (1st payment), the booking fees, the insurance cancellation (optional)
– 3 months prior to stay: 25% of the total rental cost (2nd payment)
– 2 months prior to stay: 25% of the total rental cost (3rd payment)
– 1 month prior to stay: 25% of the total rental cost (4th payment)
• If you book between 2 and 3 months before the beginning of the stay, you pay:
– At the time of the booking: 50% of the total rental cost (1st payment), the booking fees, the insurance cancellation (optional)
– 2 months prior to stay: 25% of the total rental cost (2nd payment)
– 1 month prior to stay: 25% of the total rental cost (3rd payment)
• If you book less than 2 months before the beginning of the stay, you pay:
– At the time of the booking: 75% of the total rental cost (1st payment), the booking fees, the insurance cancellation (optional)
– 1 month prior to stay: 25% of the total rental cost (2nd payment)
• If you book less than 15 days before the beginning of the stay, you can only pay via credit card:
– At the time of the booking: 100% of the total rental cost, the booking fees, the insurance cancellation (optional)

ONLY possible for a booking more than 15 days before arrival.
• If you book more than 3 months before the beginning of the stay, you pay:
– At the time of the booking: 30% of the total rental cost (1st payment), the booking fees, the insurance cancellation (optional)
– 2 months prior to stay: 70% of the total rental cost (2nd payment)
Please note: The full amount of your stay must be paid 1 month before the arrival date.
TAKE NOTE: NOT MAKING A PLANNED PAYMENT WILL LEAD TO THE AUTOMATIC CANCELLATION OF THE BOOKING IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE GENERAL TERMS OF RENTAL. THE PAYMENTS MUST REACH US BY THE DUE DATE AT THE LATEST.

Cancellation and curtailment insurance

Camping des Menhirs offers an option to pay for cancellation and curtailment insurance through its partner, Gritchen Affinity. This insurance, which can be purchased at the time of booking the stay, gives the customer an option to be reimbursed by Gritchen Assurance for the cancellation fees relating to the reservation as provided for in article 13 of these General Rental Terms and Conditions in the instance that an event prevents his arrival, or he does not stay for all the nights booked should an event delay his arrival or shorten his stay.
The events covered are those provided for in the General Terms and Conditions of the cancellation insurance available on our cancellation page.
In the event of a covered loss, the customer must notify Camping des Menhirs that he will not be arriving and must contact Gritchen Affinity by following the procedures described at https://uk.lesmenhirs.com/cancellation-insurance/. This must take place within 5 days following the occurrence of the adverse event and by providing the necessary information and supporting documents to Gritchen Affinity.

Baby Kit rental

We can provide you with baby kits including a high chair, bath, and cot.
PLEASE NOTE: this must be booked in advance. Otherwise, we cannot guarantee its availability on arrival.

TRACKING YOUR BOOKING

View and track my booking

You can track and personally manage your booking in the Customer Portal. When you make a booking for the first time online, you have to create a customer account (username and password that you choose during one of the stages of the reservation).
Over the phone, it is one of our reservations agents who will be responsible for the creation of your ID and password.
Sign in with your ID and your password under the “My Account” section.
You then have the option of:

You can check your payments, update them, pay one more payments by (the credit card debit will be taken from your bank account the following day):

Please note: The invoice will only be available 11 days before the beginning of the stay and the certificate once the stay is completed.
Be aware that it takes 24 hours for the customer portal to be updated with booking or payment information.
You also have the option to edit your contact information and postal address.

Change my booking (subject to availability)

The customer is the sole contact liable to Camping des Menhirs, in particular with regard to financial liability and more particularly in the event of cancellation or of a complete or partial amendment to the holiday.

For any request to make an amendment, please indicate your name, first name(s), destination, booking number (reservation) and customer account number.
Any amendments (with the prior agreement of Camping des Menhirs) to the mobile home type, holiday dates or place of stay will incur a charge of €30 by Camping des Menhirs.
In the case where an amendment incurs an additional cost (with the prior agreement of Camping des Menhirs), an amendment fee of €30 will apply and the client will be obliged to pay the supplement.
In the case where an amendment results in a reduced cost (with the prior agreement of Camping des Menhirs) the following conditions apply:
* If the amendment is made 30 days or more prior to the initial arrival date, the €30 amendment fee will apply and the price difference will be refunded to the customer
* If the amendment is made 29 days or less prior to the initial arrival date no refund will be made.
Any other amendment will be charged at €30.
If the amendment is not accepted, the customer will be obliged to respect the conditions originally agreed upon or cancel his/her stay. Any request for amendments made 7 days or less before the beginning of the stay (the date of receipt of the letter by Camping des Menhirs is taken into account) will be refused.
Every holiday that has already begun must be paid in its entirety. No discount will be applied in the case of delayed arrival or early departure.

Cancel my booking

A written request must be sent within 48 hours (Camping des Menhirs will take into account the date of receipt of this request) following the event which has prompted the cancellation. The date of the event being taken into account. If cancellation occurs:
More than 90 days before your holiday: 10% of the total cost of the holiday as well as ancillary costs (booking fees, insurance etc.) will be charged.
Between the 89th and the 60th day before your holiday: 25% of the total cost of the holiday as well as ancillary costs (booking fees, insurance etc.) will be charged.
Between the 59th and the 30th day before your holiday: 50% of the total cost of the holiday as well as ancillary costs (booking fees, insurance etc.) will be charged.
Between the 29th and the 5th day before your holiday: 90% of the total cost of the holiday as well as ancillary costs (booking fees, insurance etc.) will be charged.
Less than 5 days before your holiday or non-arrival, no refund will be made.
In all events, the booking fees and any possible cancellation insurance fees are not refunded.
Lost/forgotten password
Click on the “My Account” section of the Camping des Menhirs website and then on, “forgotten password?” and then on “do you already have an account? It will be sent to you by email.
PLEASE NOTE BEFORE YOUR ARRIVAL

Arrivals and departures

Please note, it is not possible to arrive or depart on Tuesdays.
• Arrival: Arrival times are between 3pm and 7pm.
Upon arrival at the campsite, please go straight to the Camping des Menhirs reception.
Please present your booking voucher, pay any tourist tax due, guarantee deposits, and any fees not included in the price (swimming pool bracelet and/or entertainment costs).
Once your arrival has been registered, we will give you the keys to your accommodation and the magnetic badge will provide access to the campsite.
• Late arrivals due to unforeseen events:
For arrivals outside of these hours, we cannot guarantee that you will be able to access your mobile home during the evening.
Please warn reception at the campsite of any unforeseen events.
The telephone number is on the second page of the booking voucher, below the address of the campsite.
• Departure:
Departures are from 8am to 10am (or between 5pm and 7pm on Sundays in off-peak season if specified when booking).
At the latest, on the day before departure, the customer must make an appointment at reception for the departure inspection.
These appointments are usually fixed every 15 minutes between 8am and 10am (it is not possible for all families to leave at the same time, and we thank you in advance for your understanding).

Accommodation security deposit

A security deposit for a total of €170 (€100 security deposit and €70 cleaning fee, payable by two cheques where applicable) will be requested from you when you receive your keys on the day of arrival.
This deposit will be returned to you on your departure day, after the inventory and cleanliness of your accommodation have been checked. We reserve the right to charge a cleaning fee (€70) where you have not cleaned the accommodation yourself or if the mobile home is not left perfectly clean. It is important to remember that this does not include washing the dishes, cleaning the fridge-freezer or cleaning and washing kitchen utensils. There was all therefore be left in a clean condition. The rubbish, disposable bedding and waste also have to been taken out. Should departure take place outside of the normal hours for the departure inspection, our staff will be the sole judge of the state of the mobile home and may take the decision to keep the security deposit if this proves justified.
No claim can be made in the event of early departure.

Tourist taxes

These are in place in almost all tourist sites and are collected on behalf of the local municipalities. These must therefore be paid upon arrival.
These can vary greatly depending upon the local council who determines the amount, the taxable persons (adults and children) and the periods in which they are applicable.
These taxes will be paid, where appropriate, directly to the reception at the campsite. Generally, they are €0.55 per day, per person (this is an indicative value and not contractually binding).

Magnetic badge

A security deposit may be required for the use of the badge to open and close the barrier. In this case, it is due on arrival.

Campsite rules

The camp site rules are displayed inside the campsite. We would kindly ask you to take note of them and adhere to them, and ensure that the other people in your accommodation do the same.
Any violent behaviour, offensive and/or racist remarks, any verbal or physical aggression, and more generally any serious and/or repeated breach of the campsite rules will immediately result in the expulsion of all of the occupants of the accommodation in question. No refund of any kind can be given.
In order to avoid issues such as the theft of your personal belongings, the doors and windows of the mobile home should be closed.
Do not leave valuable objects inside the mobile home.
In any event, we remind you that Camping des Menhirs cannot be held responsible as it does not take on the role of hotelier and does not therefore fall under its legal requirements.

If you have chosen to pay the cleaning charge (€70 incl. tax), it is important to remember that this does not include washing the dishes, cleaning the fridge-freezer or cleaning and washing kitchen utensils. There was all therefore be left in a clean condition. The rubbish, disposable bedding and waste also have to been taken out. If this is not the case, a fee for rectifying this may be charged.
The sum of €70 incl. tax will be retained from the deposit if the rented accommodation is not left in a normal state of cleanliness.

PRACTICAL INFORMATION

CAF vouchers

Camping des Menhirs does not accept CAF vouchers as a means of payment.
It is also possible to rent ‘linen’ kits composed of sheets and towels as below.
Pack for 1 person: sheets (1 single bed) and towels: €12
Pack for 2 people: sheets (1 double bed) and towels: €18
Pack for 4 people: sheets (1 double bed and 2 single beds) and towels: €30
Pack for 6 people: sheets (1 double bed and 4 single beds) and towels: €45

Entertainment

In general, the entertainment is free and accessible to all. They are organised during the day or in the evening, most often during peak season.
You will have to purchase a wristband, which is essentially to protect you from people who are not authorised to be there.
It is valid for the whole stay.

Barbecue

The use of all kinds of barbecue is permitted.

Swimming pool

The use of the word “heated” in terms of a pool does not mean that it is all season.

Bracelet

The purchase and/or wearing of a wristband is required to ensure maximum security and to prevent entry by unauthorised people.

Swimsuits allowed for the pool

For reasons of comfort, hygiene and safety: To access our pool area, it is mandatory for men, children, and infants to wear swimming trunks. For women, there is the option of wearing a 1 piece or 2 piece swimsuit, a bikini or a trikini. Boardshorts, Bermuda shorts, underpants, strings, burkinis, or any other long clothing are strictly prohibited in our pool area. Anyone who does not wear swimming clothing that confirms with this regulation will not be allowed to access the pool area. We also remind you that “topless” bathing is prohibited. It is also forbidden to run on the beaches, to dive or jump, smoke, eat or drink in the pool enclosure. In addition, it is forbidden to spit. Access to the pool is also forbidden to anyone suffering from suspected skin complaints (dressings are prohibited). It is forbidden to take in sound devices that might disturb other people wishing to relax. You must leave your shoes at the entrance to the enclosure. Use of the passage by the showers and the footbath is compulsory for all. Access is prohibited to children under 12 years who are not accompanied by an adult (under no circumstances are older children considered to be responsible). Strollers, umbrellas, palms, snorkels, mattresses, ball games and balloons (except as part of the entertainment) are not allowed.
Should this regulation not be complied with, the management reserves the right of expulsion from the pool area or camping village.
Animals (only dogs)

No dogs are allowed in Camping des Menhirs.

Failure to comply with these rules (animal other than a dog, dog category, etc.) will immediately result in the expulsion of all occupants of the accommodation concerned. No refund of any kind can be given.

Washing machines

There is a laundry with dryers and ironing tables at Camping des Menhirs. These services are payable (tokens).

Weekend until 7pm

In the off-peak season, the customer has the option to leave on Sunday between 5pm and 7pm (instead of 10am) (outside of 08/07 to 02/09/2017) for stays of a minimum of two nights if this option was specified when booking.
To take advantage of this free option, the customer must notify is of this when making a booking (by telephone, on the booking form or when making their reservation by means of a code available on the website www.lesmenhirs.com). Otherwise, this will not be possible and they will instead have to leave their accommodation on Sunday before 10am.

Wifi

Camping des Menhirs offers free wifi access in the bar of the campsite. You can also connect directly from your accommodation if you select one of our supplementary paid-for packages. Prices are available in the reception of the campsite.

Children’s clubs/teen clubs

The children’s clubs generally welcome children from 5 to 12 years of age, while the teen clubs are for young people aged 13 to 17 years, mainly in peak season. See details on the campsite page.
The presence of a parent may be required

Capacity

For insurance and safety reasons, exceeding the number of occupants designated for each type of accommodation is prohibited.
The campsite manager will refuse entry to any person if the maximum capacity is exceeded, even if they offer to pay a supplement.
Booking forms must mention the names, first names and dates of birth of all occupants (including babies of less than three years).
If you forget to mention a person, you can call our reservation centre or send us an email with the full names and dates of birth of the missing people.
The person who makes the booking must be at least 18 years old, be legally able to enter into the contract under these General Rental Terms and Conditions and must ensure that all information provided is truthful and accurate.

Baby Kit

You have the possibility, within the limits of available stocks, to reserve a “baby kit” including a cot, high chair and a bathtub. You must indicate this on your booking. The rate is €4.50 incl. tax/day.

Vehicle

Booking a mobile home generally means there is space for a vehicle in the campsite (sometimes on the pitch). If you arrive in 2 vehicles: the second must be parked in the car park or outside of the campsite.

Small extra tent

In principle, putting up a small tent on the pitch is not allowed.

Promotions

From time to time we send out promotions and offers through our newsletters, our website or by other means of communication.
If you have a “promo” code, it must be entered during the last stage of your reservation in the field provided for this purpose (when making a reservation online) or it must be specified when booking over the phone.
If the code is invalid, please check the conditions for the application of it and its validity dates.
Be aware that a promotion is never retroactive.
